Key Commitment: Mobile opt-in information and consent data will not be shared with any third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Ever.
Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to all SMS communications sent or received by Spark Alliance, Inc. employees using SPARK-assigned Microsoft Teams phone numbers. Our SMS service is used solely for direct, one-to-one business communications including:
- Client support and service coordination
- Project updates and status notifications
- Appointment confirmations and scheduling
- General business correspondence with clients and vendors
Use Case Classification: Our SMS service is registered under the UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) Low Volume use case. We do not use SMS for marketing, bulk messaging, automated alerts, or API-driven interactions.
Information We Collect
When you communicate with SPARK via SMS, we may collect and process the following information:
- Your mobile phone number — used to send and receive messages
- Message content — the text of messages you send and receive
- Opt-in and opt-out records — records of your consent status and any STOP/START responses
- Date and time — timestamps of messages sent and received
- Contact information — if you are an existing client, your contact record in our systems
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or health records through our SMS service.
How We Use Your Information
Information collected through our SMS service is used exclusively to:
- Transmit and receive your messages and facilitate direct communication
- Respond to your inquiries, service requests, or support tickets
- Maintain accurate records of communications for service quality and compliance purposes
- Manage your consent preferences (opt-in / opt-out status)
- Improve our communication processes and service delivery
- Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations
We will not use your mobile number or message content for any marketing, promotional, or commercial purpose beyond the direct communication you have opted into.
Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may share limited information only with the following categories of service providers, solely for the purpose of enabling message delivery:
- Microsoft Corporation — our Teams Phone platform provider that routes SMS messages through the 10DLC network
- Mobile carriers and network operators — as required to transmit messages to your device
- The Campaign Registry (TCR) — for regulatory compliance and spam prevention purposes
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority; to protect the rights and safety of SPARK, our employees, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets (with notice provided to affected users where possible).
All categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent — this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Opt-In & Consent
You may receive SMS messages from a SPARK employee when you have provided your mobile number to us and consented to receive text communications. Consent may be established through any of the following means:
- Verbally providing your number to a SPARK representative and acknowledging consent
- Providing your mobile number via our contact form at sparkmytech.com/contact
- Replying START to any SPARK SMS message
- Initiating contact with a SPARK employee via SMS
When you first receive an SMS from a SPARK number, you will receive an automated opt-in notification that includes instructions for obtaining help (HELP) or stopping messages (STOP).
Opt-Out / Unsubscribe
You have the right to opt out of receiving SMS messages from SPARK at any time. To stop receiving messages, simply reply STOP to any SPARK text message. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further SMS communications will be sent from that number.

Data Security
Spark Alliance, Inc. implements reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information associated with our SMS service. Our SMS communications are delivered through Microsoft Teams Phone, which is built on Microsoft's enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, including encryption in transit and at rest.
However, no communication method over public networks is 100% secure. We encourage you to avoid sending sensitive information (such as passwords, financial account numbers, or Social Security numbers) via SMS.
Data Retention
We retain SMS communication records in accordance with our general data retention policies and applicable legal obligations. Opt-out records (STOP responses) are retained indefinitely to ensure compliance with your preferences. You may request deletion of your information by contacting us at info@sparkmytech.com, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
